Thank You

My mom instilled in me the habit of writing thank you notes. As a kid, I was not always excited to take time away from my new toys to write a note; but, I’m so thankful she instilled this wonderful habit in me. Saying thank you is not just about being polite. It boosts the joy the giver experiences in giving. Knowing that a gift was appreciated and was put to good can deepen the relationship with the giver. It creates a positive feedback loop!

Nonprofits have many opportunities to express gratitude: donations, attendance at fundraising events, volunteers stepping into our mission field. Through letters, emails, social media posts and conversation, we have the privilege of spreading joy by thanking and giving recognition to those people and organizations that help us achieve our mission.

This month I would like to give special recognition to the United Way of Greater St. Louis. LifeBridge Partnership has had the honor of partnering with the United Way for 25 years. We are incredibly grateful to continue this partnership as one of the 160+ Safety Net Agencies in their 16 county service area. Through the United Way campaign, LifeBridge Partnership will receive an allocation of $111,481 to further our mission of building bridges to a life of social well-being for individuals with disabilities.

Thank you to United Way for this strong partnership and to our entire community for supporting their annual campaign – we are so grateful!

We would love to partner with you, too! Learn more about how you can make a positive difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities @ https://www.lifebridgestl.org

With many thanks,

Karen Schuster, CEO
