Out and About Program

Enjoy being out and about in the community. Through monthly recreation and social activities in a small-group setting, you can prepare and equip yourself with skills to maximize your potential for community engagement and increase your independence.

Focused skill development is offered in the areas of:

  • Community Navigation: budgeting, money handling, community safety, and safe boundaries

  • Community Socialization: conversation skills, peer to peer engagement, and healthy personal boundaries

  • Self-Advocacy: assertion for having needs met, making own choices, and appropriately regulating emotions

LifeBridge Partnership also provides door-to-door transportation services as needed.

Adults with disabilities who have completed all high school services and live in St. Louis City or St. Louis County are eligible to participate. There is an annual fee of $25 as well as per-program costs such as meal and admission costs. Monthly participation is required to remain active and to ensure success.

Our Out & About funding partners include: Productive Living Board and DD Resources.
