Fall Fun for Everyone: Celebrating the Season Together
The summer heat has finally subsided and autumn is finally here! Fall colors are starting to bloom and there’s lots of community fun to explore! Whether you love crunching through the leaves, exploring local festivals, or sipping warm cider with friends, fall is a great time to get out and enjoy all that our community has to offer.
There’s something special about this time of year that brings people together. From pumpkin patches and hayrides to outdoor concerts and craft fairs, fall offers many opportunities for families and friends to connect, explore, and create lasting memories. Best of all, many of these events are right in our own backyard—making it easy for everyone to join in.
Here are a few family-friendly fall activities to check out in our community:
🎃 Visit a Local Pumpkin Patch or Farm: Enjoy wagon rides, corn mazes, and apple picking while supporting local growers. Many farms, such as Eckert’s Belleville farm and the Kirkwood Farmer’s Market, offer accessible paths and inclusive activities for guests of all abilities.
🍁 Take a Scenic Nature Walk: Local parks and trails burst with color in October and November. A stroll or roll through Powder Valley Nature Center trails or around Creve Coeur is a great way to enjoy the crisp autumn air, stay active, and share conversation with friends.
🧣 Join a Fall Festival or Community Fair: From neighborhood harvest festivals to craft markets and chili cook-offs, fall events are a wonderful way to meet new people and celebrate local traditions. Sips, Souls and Strolls on November 7, spotlights women artists of Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum. And, Laumeier After Dark on November 8, gives the public a unique opportunity to explore Laumeier Sculpture Park after sundown.
🔥 Enjoy an Evening Bonfire: Some parks and recreation centers host community bonfire nights complete with music, storytelling, and s’mores—perfect for families looking to unwind together.
🎨 Get Creative with Fall Crafts: Make leaf collages, decorate pumpkins, or create handmade cards to share with neighbors or friends.
As the weather cools and the days get shorter, these community-based activities remind us of the warmth that comes from being together. At LifeBridge Partnership, we hope that everyone finds opportunities to connect, belong, and experience joy—no matter the season. So grab your sweater, gather your friends and family, and make the most of this beautiful fall season.
🍂 Here’s to a season full of belonging and community fun!
