Be a Camp Buddy with LifeBridge Partnership
Summer is finally here — bringing sunshine, school breaks, outdoor adventures, and the excitement of summer camp! At LifeBridge Partnership, summer is a season of opportunities for children and teens with disabilities to build friendships, explore their communities, strengthen independence, and create lasting memories.
Our inclusive summer camp programs provide safe, engaging experiences where every camper is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to participate fully. From sports to arts and crafts, games, field trips, and community outings, campers enjoy activities that promote confidence, connection, personal growth, and FUN.
One of the most meaningful ways you can support these experiences is by volunteering to walk alongside campers as they experience daily activities, offering encouragement, friendship, and individualized support. Whether you are a high school student earning service hours, a college student exploring careers in education, therapy, healthcare, or social services, a parent wanting to give back, or a community member looking to make a difference, there is a place for you at LifeBridge this summer.
No special experience is necessary — just patience, compassion, flexibility, and a willingness to have fun and build meaningful connections. Many volunteers discover that the friendships and experiences they gain are just as rewarding as the support they provide.
As a buddy, you can:
Build meaningful friendships
Promote inclusion and belonging
Encourage confidence and independence
Develop leadership and communication skills
Gain valuable volunteer and career experience
Help create unforgettable summer memories
At LifeBridge Partnership, we believe everyone deserves opportunities to connect, participate, and thrive in their community. Summer camp changes lives — not only for campers, but for the volunteers who walk alongside them.
Join us in creating a summer filled with friendship, inclusion, laughter, and adventure for children and teens throughout our community! If you are interested in volunteering this summer, learn more and fill out an application at: https://www.lifebridgestl.org/volunteer
