Learning and Connecting
This summer has flown by SO quickly. August really snuck up on me. Just as it does every year, August has all of us preparing… for the new school year, to welcome new colleagues in the office or to kick off a project. And, of course, calendars are filling quickly with activities and events, too.
This season is an annual time of fresh starts and renewed routines. It offers opportunities to meet new people and a reminder of the importance of learning. Whether we're entering a classroom, starting a new job or project, or simply reconnecting with people, the relationships you find in these situations can become the foundation for your greatest growth.
Learning doesn't happen only in schools. We learn through conversations, shared experiences, and seeing the world through someone else's perspective. I spent last week in an intense professional development class. I learned a lot, but, more importantly, I met amazing people who have inspired and energized me to lead LifeBridge Partnership in new ways. We now have the opportunity to build on that foundation by leaning on each other as we work to make our community better through our various organizations.
I hope you embrace the transition that August brings and give yourself time to connect with others…to listen, to share, and to learn together. After all, the strongest communities are built not simply by living or working alongside one another, but by taking the time to truly connect.
