2021 United Way Campaign

United Way of Greater St. Louis mobilizes the community with one goal in mind – helping people live their best possible lives. LifeBridge Partnership has something in common with the United Way – we want our clients to live their best possible lives. And, we are honored to carry out our mission in partnership with the United Way.

United Way’s annual campaign is upon us and will run from September through mid-November. While a goal has not yet been announced for the campaign, our community has come together again and again to raise more than $70mm annually. Why? Because every day, people in our community wake up with needs.

The United Way recognizes that no single agency can serve every person in need. The dollars generously given are allocated to more than 160 Safety Net agencies, such as LifeBridge Partnership, so we can target specific areas of need. Through this network of nonprofits, 1 million people in 16 counties throughout Missouri and Illinois will find the assistance they need. That’s 1 in 3 people in our region impacted by funded services that use their United Way allocation to:

  • Provide food and shelter to position people for a better tomorrow

  • Establish financial stability to promote long-term success

  • Foster learning so kids reach their full potential

  • Improve health so kids grow and develop & adults can live a full and productive life

  • Strengthen communities to enhance lives and provide necessary tools to thrive

LifeBridge serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities which creates barriers to accessing the community and experiencing community life. Our partnership with United Way ensures clients can overcome the barriers by learning essential skills to navigate the community, advocate for themselves, and build healthy relationships. These skills help our clients thrive and experience a meaningful and inclusive community life.

The United Way also supports our community with professional learning opportunities for nonprofit employees and services to promote capacity building throughout the community. In 2020, they mobilized quickly to provide emergency response grants to agencies serving individuals in crisis due to the pandemic.

Please join me in supporting LifeBridge Partnership and our entire region by giving to the United Way of Greater St. Louis 2021 campaign. For more information or to donate, visit:
