LifeBridge Camps are offered at various times throughout the year and provide a day camp setting for youth between the ages of 6-18 (19-21 if still enrolled in high school) who have a documented disability and live in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, or St. Charles County.
We currently offer a Spring Break Camp, one week of Summer Camp for St. Charles County, one week Summer Camp for St. Louis County and City, and a Winter Break Camp.
The June edition of The Scoop contains some important information about our summer program.
Summer 2020 Programming Updates
The LifeBridge team has been hard at work monitoring the status of community restrictions and guidelines in response to COVID-19. Many of you completed a summer services survey in late May and your feedback was instrumental in helping us make plans to provide LifeBridge services. Your responses resulted in the return of the LifeBridge Leaders Club through delivered activity kits and weekly zoom gatherings.
Due to the quickly changing needs of our community surrounding the virus, LifeBridge is conducting a second survey to ensure we are meeting the needs of your child and family.
After careful and thoughtful consideration, LifeBridge has concluded that we are unable to provide our St. Louis Summer Camp (July 27-31) and our St. Charles County Summer Camp (August 10-14). However, we are drafting plans to offer an alternative camp experience that allows your child the opportunity to see their camp friends, socialize safely, and enjoy camp-like games and activities!
Alternative summer camp experiences will include:
- 2-3 hours of fun face-to-face social interactions
- Offered at a community-based space (parks, rec centers, LifeBridge office)
- Interactive games & activities
- Small group sizes
- Weekday and/or Weekend options (based on survey results) throughout summer months
Due to our continued commitment to maintain client and staff safety some services such as 1-1 support, medical interventions, and transportation may be significantly minimized.
